Fitch's Punt Game

Welcome to Punt!

Punt is a computerized, networked version of the five-in-a-row game known as Pente or Gomoku. Played on a 19-by-19 square grid, it is basically a scaled up version of tic-tac-toe.

Point-to-point Play

One feature of the game is that it is played between two players (and their PC's) without the need of an intermediate host machine. Normally one is unaware of the network (IP) address of one's own computer. In order to have point-to-point play in a world of dynamically assigned IP addresses, it is necessary for one player to get on the net, start the game (which will detect the IP address), and then send this information to the other player, typically by Email.

Punt is Freeware. Eat up! We'll make more.
